Where We Are

Dunbeacon Camping and Glamping is located on the Wild Atlantic Way, on the beautiful Mizen Peninsula in West Cork, overlooking Dunmanus Bay and Sheeps Head Peninsula. Nestled in a wonderfully tranquil rural location conveniently located outside the village of Durrus, and only a short drive from the vibrant villages of Ballydehob, Schull and the bustling town of Bantry. It is an ideal location for an activity holiday with an abundance of treks and trails on its doorstep, numerous music and arts festivals, spectacular gardens, sea and coastal activities, historical and cultural attractions.

The campsite is within easy reach by car on R591 just 4.5 km outside the village of Durrus, only 12 km away from both Schull and Ballydehob and 15 km away from Bantry town. With few pubs and a grocery shop in the local village Durrus, a nearby restaurant, and pottery shop you won’t be stuck for food and drink or entertainment.

The campsite is conveniently situated between the two scenic Southern Peninsulas of the Wild Atlantic Way – Sheeps Head to the north and Mizen Head to the south.  Travel the Southern Peninsulas of the Wild Atlantic Way and experience one of Ireland’s most scenic coastal routes. There’s a diverse array of things to see and do in the region, from outdoor pursuits such as hiking, cycling, sea kayaking and sailing to cultural and historical activities the whole family can enjoy.
