Terms and Conditions

By confirming a reservation at Dunbeacon Campsite Ltd you are accepting that you have read and fully accept the terms and conditions detailed in this document.  

Cancellation and Refunds

Refunds are available on bookings cancelled more than 28 days prior to arrival – minus any third-party booking fees and an administration fee of 5%.

If you have to cancel your holiday, please inform us immediately. We will do our best to re-let the accommodation. If we can re-let your holiday dates, we will refund your balance payment with the amount we can let the accommodation for, therefore if we have had to discount the break in order to fill the vacancy, the amount returned will be your balance less any discounts or costs associated. If it is not possible to re-let the accommodation, all monies which have been paid will be forfeited. It is your responsibility to have arranged full travel insurance to ensure you are covered in the event of a cancellation. 

It is your responsibility to check the details on your booking confirmation are correct and notify us immediately of any discrepancies. We cannot accept responsibility for any errors not corrected prior to arrival.

We reserve the right to cancel or make changes to bookings in the event of extreme conditions such as severe weather conditions, fire.  Alternative dates will be offered or a refund on your payment.

We cannot cancel bookings due to poor weather or poor weather forecasts (unless we deem them too extreme for safe camping). 

If we cancel your holiday due to our own fault, your full payment will be returned.  If cancelled due to circumstances beyond our control, for example national weather warnings, the booking remains non-refundable we will transfer the reservation to another date at your convenience.  

If we cannot honour your booking because of national government restriction around Covid 19 (such as another lockdown), a full refund will be issued.

We also reserve the right to cancel a stay should the booking have been made due to an administration error on the booking system – this may be an incorrect length of stay subject to our policies, incorrect price or any other error. A full refund will be given and the booking cancelled if this is the case.

Should you need to change the dates of your campsite booking, you may do so up to 4 weeks before your arrival to another date within the same season subject to availability. We are unable to alter booking dates with less than 4 weeks’ notice.

Booking and Pricing

Pitches and Campervans are on a walk-in basis with no minimum stay. We will do our best to try to accommodate you but prior contact is advisable. Please contact us to check availability and make a booking especially in the high season.

Glamping lodges – Tipi’s, Bell Tent & Roof top Tent – there is a minimum stay of 2 days in the high season (from mid July – end of August).

Prices are per unit (Tipi/Bell Tent/ Roof top Tent) with up to 4 people sharing. Extra bedding in the form of blow-up mattress is available if more than 4 people – please inquire about this. 

Payments can be made by bank transfer for camping and online card payment when booking for Tipis/Bell Tent/RTT. 

Booking for Tipis/ Bell Tent/RTT is only confirmed upon payment of the full balance and agreement to our terms and conditions. 

The price agreed either online at the time of booking and on the booking confirmation email is binding. If a holiday has been booked under an obvious price administration error, Dunbeacon Campsite Ltd. are not obliged to honor the booking and can cancel and refund the stay. The prices featured on the website are not binding and Dunbeacon Campsite Ltd. reserves the right to modify these prices at any time.

Arrivals and Departures

Check in for glamping lodges is from 4pm onwards and check out is 11.00am – we request that these times are adhered to in order to allow us time to prepare for other guests. Occasionally extensions to departure time can be accommodated by prior arrangement only.

Check in for camping in your own tent/ campervan is from 12 pm.

The property may only be occupied by the agreed number of booked guests at the time of booking. If you wish to amend the number of guests in your party, this must be agreed in writing in advance of your stay. When booking please confirm the number of guests. We reserve the right to refuse entry to the entire party if this condition is not observed. No additional guests allowed on site without prior arrangement with the owners and maximum occupancy per unit must always be observed.

Dunbeacon Campsite Ltd. cannot be held responsible for any lost, damaged or stolen personal property. Guests accept that staff may check the condition of the Tipi at the point of check out. Staff will not enter your Tipi during your stay unless invited to do so or in the case of a safety concern.

Fires

Due care and attention to be taken at all times with open camp fires (please use fire pit) and barbeques. Please do not ever leave any fires unattended. Please use only wood and peat in the firepits.

Any accidental damage/ spillages to be reported (replacement fee/ cleaning fee may be applied).

No smoking in Tipis or buildings. All cigarette butts to be disposed of responsibly.

Waste

No rubbish to be left inside the glamping lodges and tents – please use bins provided in designated communal area. No litter to be left anywhere else on site. Please sort rubbish according to our recycling policy (all bins are labelled). Please always separate your bottles and cans from the rest of the waste which can be left in the bottle bank provided or disposed of in the bottle recycling banks in the village. No rubbish to be burned in the firepits.

Buildings and glamping lodges are cleaned and maintained by staff but we ask that guests tidy up after themselves and remove the rubbish from the lodges and tents at all times. We do not clean glamping lodges during your stay.

Pets

Dogs are allowed if they are kept on the leash at all times and do not cause disturbance to the other guests. The dog owners are responsible to clean up after their pet immediately. Pets are not allowed inside the glamping lodges or communal buildings at any time.  

Children

Parents are responsible for the supervision of their children at all times on site. 

Guest Behaviour

Guests are expected to behave with respect for other guests, owners and staff, property and the environment at all times.

We expect noise to be kept to a minimum out of respect and comfort of all guests and our neighbours. We operate a quiet policy between the hours of 11pm and 9am and request that noise levels are kept to a minimum by all guests between these hours. Failure to respect others will lead to a warning, and if not complied with termination of your holiday without refund.

Alcohol may be consumed on site but drunken or rowdy behaviour is not acceptable. Please be respectful of other guests and owners who live on site. 

You are responsible for informing us of any losses or damage to the property as soon as possible. Please note that you will be liable to pay us for any losses or damage to the property caused by you or a member of your party (except reasonable wear and tear).

 On your arrival to the campsite, please ring a bell at the Reception and please wait for us to come over. We are usually on the site or in our house next door.  We are also available during working hours (9am until 6pm) on the contact numbers /email displayed. With respect to the privacy of the owners please do not knock on the door of the private dwelling except in an emergency.

Please report any problems that you find at the earliest possible opportunity to allow staff to address the issue.

Risks Assumption

Whilst we take great care to keep you safe, accidents can happen and we are not held responsible for such accidents (to the greatest extent permitted by law). The campsite is located in a woodland area, on the hilly site, with footpaths on the slope and with areas of open water / running stream with a bridge. It is next door to a working farm with live animals, and potentially dangerous farm equipment. 

Dunbeacon Campsite Ltd. accept no liability for accident, loss of property or personal injury incurred on site.

All terms and conditions are for the comfort and safety of all guests while camping. 

If any of the above terms and conditions are broken guests will first be reminded of their responsibilities and if necessary, will be requested to leave the site.
